Stewart Segal

Stewart Segal was appointed to the role of AELP Chief Executive in July 2013. He has worked in the funded work based learning sector for over 20 years and in particular has supported AELP since its formation.

Previously, Stewart worked as an independent consultant within the training sector, working with a number of training providers and colleges specialising in business development and funding issues. Following a background in HR and general management in the private sector Stewart, joined Hertfordshire TEC in 1994 as Chief Executive.

He also worked at the TEC for 4 years prior to joining Spring Skills as Chief Executive in 1998. Spring Skills was then the largest independent training provider in the sector involved in the delivery of a range of programmes in the service sectors such as retail, customer services, hospitality and business administration.

Stewart is also a Director of the Talent Foundation a not for profit network of organisation committed to the development of talent at work.

 

Olivia Dorricott

Leadership, Management and Governance

Olivia joined the Foundation in March 2014 as the Director of Leadership, Management and Governance. Olivia’s career as a civil servant started in skills and FE over 15 years ago, with a range of strategic and policy positions, first in the European Commission where she worked on developing new training systems in non-Member States then in central government departments in London, including a senior role in Apprenticeships strategy in the joint BIS/DFE unit.

From 2012-2014 Olivia was head of the £3.2bn Regional Growth Fund in BIS, leading on policy, finance and the monitoring of investment awards to businesses across England. Olivia has recently become a governor at a college in London. Olivia is also a Trustee of Hackney Doorways, a charity running the Hackney Winter Night Shelter. She is passionate about effective decision making and management within high quality governance leading to a more positive and rewarding experience and chances for all individuals.
