Overview
This is the third webinar in the Observation Skills series and is designed to help participants develop the ability to identify and produce evaluative judgement statements that accurately reflect how well learners have learnt in a session.
Objectives
Participants should on completion of the webinar be able to describe and explain:
  • what the purposes of observation judgement statements are
  • what a well written observation judgement statement looks like
  • the types of things we make judgements about
  • the relationship between observation judgements statements and performance notes
  • producing judgements where the evidence is mixed.
Who Should Attend
This webinar is designed for novice learning session observers and individuals seeking to become observers. It will also be of use to:
  • staff who have previously been observers, but who have taken time away from the role
  • teaching and training staff so that they better understand what observers are doing and looking
  • for staff aspiring to become or recently promoted Quality Managers, Quality Coordinators, Programme /Curriculum Managers, and Operational Managers.
